What kind(s) of artwork do you do?:
I do a little bit of everything, but I mostly draw in graphite and color pencils. I do a little bit with pens and markers. I usually scan my drawings and enhance them in different ways with editing programs, so I end up with several different versions. I also do photography and photo manipulation.

I don't really have a specialty...I just do whatever comes to mind...

I have fun with any kind of art I do.

I would actually like to do some impressionism and expressionism

I will never do that crap where someone puts a big circle or square on a canvas and call it art. Thats not art. That is a waste of wall space lol

Mostly just essays and stuff like that...

I do photography sometimes.

I love pastel colors...but do I like to use pastels? Not really...I'd love to use some oil pastels but I can't seem to get the hang of it...and soft pastels are just too messy

I think neutrals look nice if you're doing a portrait...but its nice to throw in a few bright colors

I went all the way up to Art III. I also studied quite a bit on my own. I probably still know more about art history than I'll ever need to know lol...
If so, did it stifle or inspire you?:
It inspired me. My teacher taught us all kinds of different techniques and different types of artwork.
How about in college?:
I studied a year of graphic design at Concord College. The only art classes I've had are drawing I, drawing II, design I, and art appreciation.

No, but I was at one time and I plan on finishing my degree later on after I become a paramedic.

Both...but I love playing around and seeing what happens on my own lol...

Nope...there is nothing wrong with being influenced by another artist, but you should be as unique as possible

not really...when I do anime or portraits of people I tend to exaggerate the contrast, which sometimes makes it look like the person has a "glowing" quality...but other than that, no...

I guess I'd have to go with traditional, only because there is something really great about seeing real paint strokes, feeling texture, etc. You connect more with the artist when the work is traditional.

Art doesn't make for a very good day job lol... and if you can convey emotion in a work of art, and I mean true emotion...the kind where you look at a portrait and can almost feel what the person is thinking...well, thats amazing...I think that is what we should all strive for. I haven't been able to do it yet. I'm working on it though.
